COVID vs Capitalism: How YOU will lose
Patterns of behavior consistent with parasitic capitalist philosophy
Throughout this episode, I replay some of the initial reporting by news agencies concerning the Coronavirus Pandemic to establish timeline, and to bring context to the discussion. As you will hear, the initial response of many public figures and state agencies, along with most poor and working class people, was one of safety and precaution. It’s a natural human reaction, in the face of danger, to retreat. In an effort to preserve life, fall back until its no longer dangerous. Well what happen? How did we go from officials mandating a lock down while telling us it could be months if not longer before we saw an end to this deadly virus, to a corporate driven frenzy demanding the reopening of the economy in just a few short weeks? I ask again, what happen family? In this episode, we identify clear patterns of behavior consistent with parasitic capitalist philosophy. Stay tune as we get into it. They’re running game on us again fam. And this ain’t no damn conspiracy theory.
If suddenly, without warning, enslaved workers were no longer available?
So, the question is, how exactly did Covid-19 cause the economy to crash? And who exactly did the crash hurt? If you will, please allow me to give an illustration to address the question. Imagine being in a time and place where slavery was the driving force of the local economy. Were agriculture, production, trade, commerce, local & state taxes, etc., were all dependent on the continued exploited labor of those enslaved. Well, what would happen if suddenly, without warning, those enslaved workers were no longer available? How would it impact the aforementioned industries? What would be the reaction, the interpretation of those who own the plantations, distribution outlets, retail centers, and those who collect taxes? What would they stand to lose? Now, more importantly, what about the enslaved and exploited workers? Should their reaction and interpretation of the “fallin economy” be the same as the property owners/ruling class, who only seek to sustain/rescue a level of wealth and luxury that comes at the expense of the exploited worker’s humanity? And the bigger question: now that the exploited worker realize the true value of their labor and general presence to the economy, should they allow themselves to be deceived by clever media campaigns suggesting that they share the same interest as the owners/ruling class and that returning to the plantation/work is the patriotic thing to do to help save the economy? Think critically family!
To assimilate the colonized into loyal workers and patriots
And so now we see the intended purpose of colonial education and propaganda. To assimilate the colonized into loyal workers and patriots. To indoctrinate us with a philosophy or way of thinking that normalizes our dysfunctional relationship to this capitalist and colonial system. So much so, that even when presented with an opportunity, i.e., the Coronavirus Pandemic, to deliver a fatal blow to the system that has victimized us for so long, we instead, much like an abused spouse, return to the very system responsible for our shattered nation, and attempt to help save it. As Brother Malcolm stated, some of us fight harder than master himself to put out the fire.
The ruling class or the money changers have cleverly manipulated their sheep with empty talking points about jobs and lost of civil liberties in order to mobilize a manufactured ‘reopen the economy movement. And I remind you, just two weeks into an uncontrolled pandemic. Those blood suckers, with hundreds of millions already in their person bank accounts couldn’t let you stay out of harms way for more than two weeks? It should be noted that there is something fundamentally wrong with a social and economic system that can’t allow its ‘citizens’ to put their health and safety above profits for more than two weeks!
Capitalist philosophy doesn’t care about those who blindly risk their lives to resume corporate profits no more than it cares about the lives lost in diamond mines in African or Sweatshops in Asian and South America. Your demonstrations of patriotism is a trump card they count on (no pun intended). And yes, of course we understand that with colonialism comes a measure of dependency. You can’t see how you’re going to make it without those Inadequate yet better than nothing crumbs from masses table. However, family we must pay attention: Kneeling in Kente cloth? Issuing fake apologies and funding co-opted Black lives matter campaigns? They know who we are and what we’re capable of if we ever decide enough is enough and stand as an independent nation. To hell with a job back on the plantation. In the mist of State sponsored police terrorism, lynchings, political and economic violence, back to normal will not work for us!
Can’t allow ‘citizens’ to put health & safety above profits for more than 2 weeks!
And so like clock work, capitalism, with it’s unquenchable thirst and lust for gain marches full steam ahead into self destruction; leaving casualties scattered amongst the poor and exploited masses. As the Covid virus resurges, thousands more will unnecessarily get sick and die. And to add insult to injury they will be blamed for their own suffering and demise. “It’s all because they refused to wear mask and stand six feet apart” they’ll say. Not a single word from corporate media will call to account the insanity of capitalist greed that manipulated the fears of the poor and working class into risking their lives and the well being of their families in order to further fatten the coffers of the wealthy. But since when has the philosophy of capitalism cared about human life over profits?
Final question. Are we going to allow this golden opportunity to pass?
